Melinda Gates wrote an article last week about helping the next generation plan their futures. Her article explores the devastating impact unplanned teenage pregnancies could have on the economic growth of the worlds poorest countries. She hopes to explore this issue, and many others, at the Family Planning Summit which takes place in London this week (11th July).

Attending this event is Ann Mitu, a Kenyan actress who had a lead role in our Emmy-Award nominated film JongoLove. Melinda tells Ann’s story in her article and how featuring in JongoLove inspired Ann to work with young mothers, helping them to think about their futures and the role contraceptives play in them.
